You will need to respond to the following prompts:
1. “Tell me about your musical background”
2. “Why do you want to study voice at MHSA?”

If you're auditioning via video, you can upload it to YouTube (you can set the setting to private if you do not wish for the general public to view your video). Please name your video in the folloring manner: "2015 MHSA Vocal Audition- John Smith" (With your name at the end.)

Once your video is uploaded, copy and paste the link and send it to Mr. Raymond Roberts via e- mail: robertrj@milwaukee.k12.wi.us

Helpful Hints

  • Set the camera/phone up to record you from the waist up
  • Make sure you sing to the recorded accompaniment
  • Make sure your voice can be heard over the recorded accompaniment
  • Sing the song exactly as the sheet music and melody dictate
  • DO NOT EMBELLISH THE MELODY (I.E. ADD EXTRA NOTES OR ‘ROLLS’)

If you do choose to upload your audition, make sure you mail in your report card and letter of recommendation to Mr. Roberts' attention:

Mr. Raymond Roberts
